The Lord heals the broken-hearted
and binds up their wounds. Ps. 147:3

Death is a normal part of life yet, frequently, the pain of loss is unbearable. Mourning can be a very lonely time and we, at St. John Neumann, are here to support you in your journey through grief.

The purpose of the Hope and Healing Grief Ministry is to be a place where those who are grieving can acknowledge their pain in a confidential, supportive group of peers. It is a place where the grieving can share their pain, if they choose to, in an environment where every loss is respected and where we can learn how to help ourselves and others.

It is the goal of the Hope and Healing Grief Ministry to give you the tools you need to walk through grief and reinvest in life after the death of a loved one.

Words of Comfort from a Grieving Heart

Dear Friend,

I can't tell you what to feel or how to grieve. I can only speak from my own experience. I am a bereaved parent and widow.

The death of a spouse is possible as the years go on. The death of a child is unbearable. The death of a husband and two sons is incomprehensible. Yet, with the grace of God, I continue on life's journey.

I believe everyday I have a choice to be bitter or better. I've chosen to use my sons' death to support others who are dealing with grief issues.

GRIEF IS THE PRICE WE PAY FOR LOVING
