ARE YOU GETTING ALL OF OUR EMAILS?

Depending on what is being sent, SJN staff have multiple ways to send email: Email to large groups (like the Confirmation candidates, AGAPE, Catechists, etc.) goes through a program called Constant Contact. Email to an individual or a limited distribution list is sent using Outlook. When staff members are away from the office they reply to emails using a webmail service known as GoDaddy and group emails to the Liturgical ministries (altar servers, EMs etc.) are sent through The Ministry Scheduler.

Although you may be seeing email from St. John Neumann, it’s possible that you’re not getting all of the email sent by us. Some email providers appear to be putting previously deliverable emails from the @saintjn.org address into the SPAM folder on the email provider’s web-based tool. Parishioners who use Outlook, whether on their home computers or their smartphones, are not seeing these email messages at all.

To ensure you are not missing our emails, the first place to check is the SPAM folder in whatever email tool you are using. If your primary email program (the one you normally use) is not the same as your provider’s program (for example, if you normally use Outlook, but Cox or Verizon is your Internet provider) you should also check your mail on your provider’s website—in particular the SPAM folder. Some of our email is being held in the SPAM folder on the email provider’s web-based tool even though saintjn.org has been added as a safe sender in Outlook. You may need to identify saintjn.org as a safe sender in both places, and regular checks of both SPAM folders might be a good idea too, just to be sure you’re getting all the news.

We hope this helps to eliminate some of the problems you’ve been having getting email from saintjn.org. We really do want to communicate with you—honest!
