Little Rock Scripture Study
Grow spiritually and deepen your personal relationship with God through study, prayer, and reflection in weekly small group meetings, which include recorded presentations by noted Scripture scholars. Small groups meet at various times throughout the week; choose the day and time that works best for you. Courses are offered twice per year, one in the fall and another in the spring.
Fall 2026 Study Courses
Join with other parishioners this fall for one of two scripture studies beginning mid-October. We will explore God’s Word in small groups using study materials developed by Catholic scholars from Little Rock Scripture Study. Choose the course and date/time. Following is this fall's course offerings and schedule:
"Letters From Prison, Part One"

"Letters From Prison, Part One" (Four Sessions)
Incarcerated numerous times "for the defense of the gospel" (Phil 1:16), Paul wrote several letters from the confines of prison. "Letters from Prison, Part One" explores the letters of Philippians and Philemon, explaining the reason each letter was written and addressing various themes such as joy, unity in Christ, reconciliation, and the close relationship between Paul and his communities. Commentary, study and reflection questions, prayers, and access to online lectures are included.
"Encountering the God of Faith, Hope, & Love in the Bible"
(Six Sessions)
Faith, hope, and love are three vital dimensions of our life with God. Faith is entering into and clinging to a relationship with God. Hope is what we expect from that relationship. And love — the greatest of these — is the very essence of the relationship itself. In this course, award-winning Scripture commentator Fr. George Smiga explores how God is revealed through various stages of salvation history — from the call of Abraham through the resurrection of Jesus — and how faith, hope, and love have evolved as our understanding of God grows. Commentary, study and reflection questions, prayers, and access to online lectures are included.
All are welcome to join one of multiple small groups that meet at various times throughout the week.
Tuition is $15 and scholarships are available.
