The Thanksgiving Food Drive is a parishwide service project. All our Faith Formation classes participate to feed our neighbors. Below is a printable checklist of the assigned grade-level donations. For students, please return the food and $5 per student to Faith Formation classes before November 15. Thank you for your support.

2026 Thanksgiving Food Drive

In coordination with Cornerstones, our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive provides Thanksgiving dinner for 170 families in the Reston-Herndon area. The following items are needed for the Thanksgiving Food Drive:


  • Canned vegetables (please no green beans)
  • Canned fruit 
  • Bottles of olive or canola oil (32 oz)
  • Instant potatoes or stuffing 
  • 2–5 lb. bags of rice 
  • 1-2 lb. bags of lentils or dried beans 
  • Boxed biscuit or muffin mix 
  • Flour 
  • Sugar 
  • Boxed dessert mix — brownies, cake and icing, etc.


We will be collecting food until November 15. Food from the parish will be collected in bins under the hallway counters.
